![]() ![]() ![]() The El Torreon Ballroom had its galang way back in 1927 and has continued to serve Kansas City throughout its varied, colorful history.
In the 1950s it hosted rock 'n' roll shows as well as a rollar skating rink. Later, in the 1970s, it was known as The Cowtown Ballroom, where Kansas City music fans would go to see artists such as Van Morrison, Frank Zappa, and Alice Cooper. Currently we're gathering information, stories & photographs from El Torreon's rich past and we'll post them here as soon as we can. If you have any information you'd like to share, please email us!
