El Torreon

The El Torreon Ballroom had its galang way back in 1927 and has continued to serve Kansas City throughout its varied, colorful history.

The majestic ballroom (currently undergoing restoration) celebrated a great jazz history in the late 1920s and '30s, hosting extended engagements by Cab Calloway and other luminaries of the time.
